Most Care Agencies Sound the Same
Compassionate. Person-centred. Dedicated to dignity. Every provider in Hampshire says it, which makes the words almost useless when you are trying to choose between them.
So this page is the specific version. What we actually do differently, what you can verify independently, and where we would tell you to look elsewhere.
Nurse-led clinical leadership
Almost every home care agency in Hampshire will tell you they are caring. Very few are led by a nurse, and that is the single clearest difference between us and the providers you are probably also speaking to.
A nurse assesses before care begins, writes the plan and stays accountable for it. Carers are trained and signed off for the specific person they support. When someone starts to deteriorate, our carers know what they are looking at and who to tell, and they tell them the same day.
It is also why we can take on catheter and stoma care and other clinical needs that non-clinical agencies routinely decline, and why professional referrers come to us with packages others have turned down.
Independent and local since 2013
We have been registered and inspected for 13 years, and we are still independent. We are not a franchise territory and we are not owned by a national group, so decisions about how care is delivered are made here in Hampshire by the people who know the clients.
Our office is in Four Marks, our carers live in the towns they work in, and much of our work still arrives by word of mouth from one family to another.
Safety and quality you can check
Rated Good by the Care Quality Commission across all five inspection areas: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. Member of the Homecare Association.
Every carer is enhanced DBS checked with references taken up before they start, completes Care Certificate induction, and is supervised and spot checked in the field afterwards.
You do not have to take our word for any of it. Our CQC report and our independent reviews are published and linked from this page.
Care that is genuinely personal
Every client has their own written care plan, agreed with them and their family before anything begins, and reviewed as things change.
We match carers to people rather than to shifts, and you help choose who comes into your home. There is no long-term contract, so you can change, reduce or stop your care as circumstances change.
We answer, day or night
Our office is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year, by an experienced member of the team. Not a call centre and not an answerphone.
That is what makes it possible for us to handle an urgent hospital discharge at five on a Friday, or a family carer taken ill overnight, without cutting corners on quality.

We would rather you asked these questions of everyone, including us.
When We Would Point You Elsewhere
A provider who claims to be right for everybody is not being straight with you. We would tell you to look elsewhere if:
- You are outside our coverage area, where a local provider will always serve you better than we could
- The clinical needs are beyond what we can safely staff and train for, which we will say plainly rather than accept and struggle
- A residential or nursing home genuinely is the safer option, which does happen and we will tell you if we think it
Ask Us the Difficult Questions
Bring the ones you have asked everyone else. The assessment is free, there is no obligation and we will give you a straight answer even when it does not suit us.
