What this website is for

This site describes the care services we provide and lets you get in touch with us. It is for information only.

Nothing on this site is medical advice, clinical advice, legal advice or financial advice. The pages explaining funding routes are a plain summary to help you know what to ask about, and they are not a substitute for advice from the local authority, the NHS or an independent financial adviser.

If you need urgent medical help, call 999 or NHS 111. This website and our enquiry forms are not monitored as an emergency service.

Care is governed by your care agreement

Nothing on this website forms a contract to provide care. If we provide care to you, the terms are set out in the written care agreement and care plan you receive before care begins, including costs, notice periods and how to make a complaint. Where anything on this website differs from your care agreement, the care agreement applies.

Any assessment we carry out is free and creates no obligation on either side.

Accuracy of information

We take care to keep this site accurate and up to date, and we review it regularly. Even so, service details, availability, funding rules and rates change. Anything time sensitive, particularly availability and cost, should be confirmed with us directly rather than relied on from this page.

Our coverage area is a guide. Whether we can reach you depends on travel time and what is needed, so please call and ask rather than assuming either way.

Using our forms

When you use a form on this site, please give accurate information and only submit information about another person where you are entitled to. Our professional referral form asks for initials or your own reference rather than a full name, and we ask you to respect that.

We may decline or remove any submission that is abusive, automated or fraudulent.

How we handle personal information, including health information, is set out in our privacy policy and our cookie policy.

The text, images, logos and design of this site belong to Karis Care Services Ltd or our licensors. You may read, print and share pages for your own use or to help someone arrange care. You may not republish our content commercially without our permission.

We link to the Care Quality Commission, homecare.co.uk, the NHS and other organisations because they are useful and independent. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on information on this website, or from the site being unavailable.

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, tell us directly and early. Call 01420 551309 or email admin@kariscareservices.co.uk and ask for the registered manager. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it and tell you what we have done.

If you remain unhappy you can contact the Care Quality Commission. Where care is funded by the local authority or the NHS you can also raise it with them, or with the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last reviewed. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
